Post 10: English Language Challenges

Hi everyone:

This is my last post, I’m very happy because have been a long semester and I think that it’s time to take a break hahah.

I really like English, at the school I don’t like very much because the teacher was very boring but in the university, this class has been different, more dinamyc and funny. I have never  slept in the class hahah.

About the use of blogs I think that it's a very good activity and I enjoyed every time that I had to write about something that was interesting for me.

I think that it's a really good form to put closer at the students with the English, that as we now is a very important language in the present and could be very important for some job in the future.

Also, at the same time, students can know more about their classmates, for example  things that they like or their opinions about different topics and comment it. 

It's an opportunity to make relationships between classmates because sometimes people just think in the appearances before to know one.

So I think that it is very important that the students learn to use the English, but it’s important too that they like it.

In my opinion I think that I have to improve a lot in the use of the English, for example my vocabulary and my listening comprehension. I plan to do this, practicing with my friends that want to improve their English too.

Outside at the class I don’t use so much the English, but for example sometimes I used when I see a movie or a series.

Post 9: 2014 Have you had a good year?

Hello everyone:

I am a very shy person, so it’s difficult for me talk about my life or my things. In the post of today I will try talk to you about some important things of this year.  (:

This has been a busy year, especially in the studies. This semester has brought many difficulties for me. I felt for the first time in these two years, which means being in the university, many tasks to do and also many tests.

But without mention all the difficulties I feel good with myself, because my family and friends are fine. I've always felt good if the people I care about are fine.

I think that my life it’s boring haha so, I have not a lot of news. But this year I has just one important surprise, I received to my girlfriend coming from Spain. She was one month with me and of course I enjoyed with she all the time possible.  

I have not important achievements in this year.  No important travel or something to highlight. So I thing that this 2014 have been a really boring year hahah.

I always used play football with my friends, but this year they have been working  or studying so we don’t have time to play or just to talk about our life, it’s one of the things that I miss.

Well, this has been my post of today… I hope that you have an interesting year… Not like me hahah

Hi everyone:

Actually the money is one of the most important things in our society, is synonym of power and in the majority of the time is synonym of happiness.

In my opinion the money is not very important. Of course I need the money if I want to have a “good life”, for example have a house, food, clothes and other things but I will not died if I have not money. I always said that the money it’s important but not necessary to life.

When I have money I prefer save it for some important occasion like a birthday or if just I want to buy something for me, like a T-shirt, a sweater or something. 

I think that I am good at managing my money on because like I said before, I always save a little of money for something important or for me. And for this when I need money for something I always have. 

If I was a millionaire, I would invest my money in a lot of things. First I would travel around the entire world, know new places and cultures, but of course before travel to any other country I would travel in Chile first. Also I give a big part of my money to my parents or I would give to they a big present, like a travel a house or something, because they always give me all the things that I need, so I would like reward they.

I have not many important or valuable belongings so I never would pawn some of my belongings.

How Green are You?

Hi everyone:

Actually we live in a society where the people have not environmentally friendly practices; every times it’s more common see in the news or in the periodic environmental issues that have impacts in our ecosystem, like climate change, soil and water pollution, melting and Global warming for example.

I think that it’s very important educate at the population to save our ecosystem and of course our planet.

I remember that in the school a teacher always said that the persons can create the world that they want, so she said that the world depend of the persons.

When I was a kid I remember that my mother and my father always teach me that it’s very important know, love and save the nature.

In the present I practice just a little the recycling, I carry bottles and sometimes papers to recycle points but .

Also I have joined to Greenpeace. This it’s a non-governmental environmental organization and their goal is on worldwide issues such as climate change, deforestation, overfishing, commercial whaling, genetic engineering, and anti-nuclear issues.

I have participated in different activities like protests and I have sing for different troubles like the positioning of oil company Shell in the Artic.

Someday I would like make a little organization or participate in different kind of activities to save endangered ecosystem or species of trees or animals and also participate in activities to teach at the population to save our planet.

A piece of News

Hi everyone:

Every day in the TV we see different kind of news, the most of this are about wars, murders, crime and others. I think sometimes that the news should show positive things also.

I read the news in the paper or at the internet, I prefer don’t see the news in the TV.

Recently I read about a theft that was called “the century’s theft”, it was occurred in the international airport Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez (SCL) in Santiago.

The most remarkable thing about this new it’s that in this theft anyone was injured or killed.

Around eight persons arrived to the airport at the 6 a.m. when a truck values was translated $ 6.000.000.000 to a commercial plane. Then they threatened with guns at the security firm of the truck, and after of this they fled with the money in a stolen car (days ago).

I think that this new it’s important for the country because the circumstances of the theft was very strange, for example the ease of the thieves to arrived at the theft zone or the lack of security for a truck that have a great quantity of money.

So I can think that we are talking about professionals thieves that prepared the theft for a long time or I can think that the theft come from important people that could make the theft without troubles.

Someday I would want read some news about ecology or about something different at the news that I see or read everydays.

My future job

Hi everyone:

I think that all the things that we do in the present are essential for our future. So in this post I will talk about the expectation that I have about my future.

I have taken at the university the ecology major. I chosen this major because I think that it’s important understand the functioning of the ecosystem and then we will be able manage and save our ecosystem, that as we know, have be under threat because of the humans.

So for this, in the future I would like have a job related with the conservation and the management of the nature.

For example in a forest corporation like CONAF or making studies about different topics like the impacts of the humans in the ecosystem, the characterization of some ecosystem or helping to prevent the extinction of some endangered species.

Choosing a work I would consider different aspect like the atmosphere in the work, the kind of persons with I will work and the importance of the work that I will make.

And to finish in a job interview I would say about my strengths that I’ am a creative and active person, I like work in group and I always want know more. And about my weaknesses I would say that I’ am a little shy and sometimes I’ am impulsive.

My best friend

Hi everyone:

I have few friends and it's difficult for me consider friend to someone because I'm very shy and I don’t used trust in someone.

So the persons that I consider my friends are too close to me and are almost like my brothers.

It's difficult for me choose one best friend but I will chosen one. Him name is Jorge and he is 20 years old and he study Agronomy at the Universidad de Chile

I met him 7 years ago in the school. We arrived together to a new school and in the beginning we don't talk because we had different group of friends. But one day we had to make a work in group and then I talked with him, and since that day we have been friends 6 years. 

I think that he is my best friend because he always helps me, for example when I'm sad or I have a problem he always is there to listen and advise me. He it's one of the few persons that I used tell all the things 

The best memory that I have with him it's when we and my class went to a tour in Salto Del Laja in Bio-Bio.
